SP4 Stoltz was killed in ground combat during Operation Sheridan Sabre, Binh Long Province, III Corps. He was 20 years old. He died alongside SP4 Willie Gerald Jones and SSG William Williams — all three were D Company, 2/8 Cavalry. The specific action has not yet been confirmed against unit records.
