Sourced entirely from CPT Henry Colavita's memoir, "Company Grade: Memoir of an Angry Skipper" (see soldiers/colavita-henry), ch. 8, "Angry Skipper" -- see the source digest at sources/colavita/08-angry-skipper/08-angry-skipper.digest.json. No independent service record yet.
1968-10
Executive Officer
Serving as D Company's Executive Officer
Already in the XO slot when Colavita took command, having been placed there by Colavita's predecessor, MAJ Audis Garner (see soldiers/garner-audis). Ran the company's rear-facing business: condolence letters, award paperwork, pay/supply/R&R/DEROS administration, and staffing his own small rear detachment. Screened soldiers' requests to transfer to the rear -- Colavita describes most as "trial balloons" that were never going anywhere. See soldiers/colavita-henry.
